Course Description:

This 2-hour course provides mental health professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize the signs of suicide risk, implement evidence-based suicide prevention strategies, and support individuals at risk. It emphasizes the importance of a collaborative, client-centered approach to prevention, drawing on the latest research in suicide risk assessment, intervention, and postvention.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize common risk factors and warning signs of suicide.
  2. Apply evidence-based interventions and strategies to assess and manage suicide risk.
  3. Develop a suicide prevention plan in collaboration with individuals at risk.
